Centre for Social Impact
"They listened to what we needed and just made it happen. The result was just what we wanted; a livelier site which offers more opportunities for us to engage with our community of clients – and one that is easy for us to manage in-house." Dr Alison Taylor
The Centre for Social Impact (CSI) helps New Zealand and Australian organisations invest in, and deliver, inspiring and sustainable social change. Set up in 2014 by Australasia’s largest philanthropic grantmaker, Foundation North, CSI works with philanthropic trusts, corporates, government agencies and community organisations.
“When we launched in 2014, we used our website to explain what this new service was that we were bringing to investors in social change, and to their community partners,” CSI’s chief executive, Dr Alison Taylor says. “Three years on, we are now working with most of New Zealand’s community trusts and a number of other organisations here and in Australia. We no longer have to explain what we do. Today we are more involved in conversations with and between our clients about what we are working on, and what we are learning. So, we wanted to refocus our website to support connections across this collaborative community that has emerged around the Centre.”
The Cohorts redeveloped CSI’s website using the Umbraco content management system which had been used for the original website. This meant CSI’s team were able to work with confidence on the new site throughout the process of development and launch. The look and feel are less formal than the original site, with news, stories and reports easily accessible for engagement and insights.
